Responsibility for Breeding Decisions

Members retain autonomy over breeding decisions. However: breeders assume all risk associated with sire and dam selection, ABCA does not guarantee outcomes, and consequences tied to verification status apply regardless of intent.

Culling Responsibility

Members are expected to remove chronically open females, remove structurally or functionally unsound animals, and act in accordance with ABCA standards.

Failure to cull appropriately may result in: loss of animal registration, inspection prioritization, or disciplinary review.
