Member Rules & Regulations

Accuracy of Information

Members are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to ABCA is accurate, complete, and not misleading. This includes but is not limited to: animal identification, breeding records, calving records, sire and dam information, and representations made in listings or marketing.

Historical Records

Historical or external records may be submitted for reference only. Such records are not considered verified by ABCA, do not confer Verified Fertile status, and may not be represented as certified fertility.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

Any member found to have intentionally falsified, altered, fabricated, or misrepresented records or documentation is subject to immediate and permanent removal from ABCA.

This includes: false calving claims, fabricated photographs or timestamps, misrepresentation of animal status, and concealment of disqualifying information.

There is no suspension period for record falsification. Upon confirmation: membership is terminated immediately, all animal registrations are revoked, all fees and dues are forfeited, and the individual is permanently barred from future participation.

Members must represent animals strictly according to their assigned ABCA status: Unverified, Verified Fertile, or Breed Up. Misrepresenting an animal's status constitutes a violation of these rules.

Animals listed through ABCA platforms must display current status clearly and avoid implied or explicit fertility claims inconsistent with status.

Openness to Inspection

All members agree to allow ABCA-appointed inspectors reasonable access to animals for purposes of verification, compliance assessment, and investigation of discrepancies. Refusal of inspection constitutes a violation of membership rules.

Verification Methods

Use of the ABCA application is encouraged but not mandatory. Verification may occur through inspection or other approved methods. Animals remain Unverified until sufficient proof is provided.

Disciplinary action may be taken for: violation of ABCA standards, misrepresentation of animals, refusal of inspection, falsification of records, and conduct detrimental to ABCA integrity.

Enforcement Actions

ABCA may impose: revocation of animal registration, reclassification of animal status, suspension of marketplace access, or termination of membership.

No Refund Policy

Membership dues and registration fees are non-refundable. This policy applies regardless of membership duration or reason for termination. Members removed for cause forfeit all fees without appeal.

ABCA reserves the right to amend these Rules & Regulations. Members will be notified of changes. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of revised rules.
